How To Burn A Candle All The Way Down

How To Burn A Candle All The Way Down

How to burn a candle evenly

When it comes to candle-burning, there is a right way and a wrong way to do it. Improper candle-burning can cause your candles to burn unevenly, creating unsightly wax buildup on the sides of the candles. It can also cause your candles to produce soot, which can be a health hazard.

How to burn a candle all the way down

The right way to burn a candle is to make sure that the wick is trimmed to ¼ inch before each use. This will help the candle burn more evenly and prevent soot from forming. When you first light the candle, allow it to burn for at least half an hour so that the wax can melt evenly across the surface of the candle. If possible, try to avoid blowing out the candle; instead, snuff it out using a wick dipper or snuffer.  Use our candle care set available here

When it comes to candles, there are a few things you can do to get the most out of them. For example, when burning a candle all the way down, it is important to keep the following things in mind:

  1. The first and most important thing is to make sure the wick is trimmed to about 1/4 inch before lighting. This will help the candle burn more evenly and prevent the formation of soot on the glass.
  2. -Secondly, it is best to let the candle burn for at least an hour the first time you light it. This will “prim” the candle and help it burn evenly thereafter.
  3. Finally, when extinguishing the flame, dip the wick into the melted wax and then center it in the glass before letting it cool completely.
