Three Spring cleaning hacks using supplies from your kitchen cupboard

The season of Spring has arrived, which means its officially time to thoroughly clean the whole house! We have three hacks using products you already have in your home to get your house looking brand new and fresh for Ramadan.

Lemon

When life gives you lemons… use them for cleaning! Amazing for removing dirt, limescale and rust use lemons almost anywhere. For cleaning the microwave, fill a bowl with water and add lemon slices and cook in the microwave for five minutes. Once the five minutes are up, it will be super easy to wash away the grease and stains.

Vinegar

Not just for splashing on chips, vinegar is an inexpensive and environmentally friendly cleaning product. Use it to clean your windows by mixing equal amounts of white vinegar and water. Additionally, it is just as good to stop mineral build up in shower heads. Add a cup of vinegar to a plastic bag, then place the shower head inside the bag and leave it to soak overnight. Remove the bag in the morning and turn on the shower to rinse.

Bicarbonate of soda

Helpful and super-effective in many spots, Bicarbonate of soda is a natural deodoriser. Leave a small tub of it in the fridge to absorb strong food odours and avoid them lingering. Or lightly use a small amount to fix a stained wall with a damp sponge.
